Botox
Botox is the brand name of a toxin /type A/ produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum and usually used on the forehead lines, crow's feet (lines around the eye) and frown lines. Its action is directed for blocking the signals from the nerves to the muscles so that the injected muscles can no longer contract, which is the reason for softening the wrinkles.
The Botox treatment
The procedure takes few minutes by which is not required any anesthesia. Botox is injected with a very fine needle into specific muscles with only minor discomfort. It generally takes three to seven days to bring full effect. The Botox treatment is one of the best and most effective ways for removing forehead and around-eyes wrinkles nowadays. It’s not necessary to do any special preparation before or after the procedure.
The Botox effect
The effects will last 6 to 9 months. As the muscle action gradually returns, the lines and wrinkles begin to re-appear and wrinkles need to be re-treated. First effects you can see after 72 hours. You can re-treat the same area earliest after 2 months. Next application could prolong the effect on 8 to 12 months.
